Sigurd Olson's restive hideaway set on Burntside Lake just outside of Ely, Minnesota. Within the Superior National Forest and on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, this site was the source of Olson's 1958 book "Listening Point" and provided solitude for the wilderness author to collect his thoughts for passages in other of his many books. Owned and cared for by the Listening Point Foundation, through their efforts we can enjoy the land as Sig knew and understood it.
